In a Starbucks restroom, a 16-year-old girl was discovered dead from what appeared to be an overdose.
According to Global News, an employee discovered Gwynevere Staddon unconscious in a Port Moody Starbucks restroom. Emergency personnel were unable to revive the teenager, according to Port Moody police. She was discovered in possession of a small quantity of drugs and paraphernalia.
According to CBC, Veronica, Staddon’s mother, “completely suspects” that her daughter overdosed on fentanyl and died. Her cause of death has not yet been officially established.
“My daughter, my best friend, my darling baby … On Facebook, the mother wrote, “I will always miss you.” “My heart keeps shattering.”
Gwynevere had been battling substance abuse for a while, according to Veronica. She informed her mother that she had given up using for three weeks before she passed away.
“I’m all right now, Mom, I’ve quit,” Veronica remembered Gwynevere saying. “She thought, ‘One more time,’ as it called her name.” The final time was the one additional time.
