Alina Habba Says Federal Workers Not ‘America First’ Will Be Let Go

Earlier this month, Alina Habba — counselor to the White House and former personal attorney to President Donald Trump — made a striking and controversial statement regarding the future of federal employment under a potential second Trump administration.

During an interview on Fox News, Habba stated clearly that individuals working in the Executive Branch who do not align themselves with the “America First” doctrine would be dismissed. She framed this not as a political purge, but as a necessary realignment of federal agencies to reflect the will and vision of the American people as expressed through the president’s mandate.

“Why wouldn’t President Trump be allowed to surround himself with people who share his vision?” Habba responded when Fox News host Sean Hannity asked about the so-called deep state influence within the federal government. “Deep state institutionalists — the very people who have been working tirelessly with Jack Smith to try and imprison Trump — why should he be forced to rely on individuals who fundamentally oppose his policies and leadership?”

She continued, addressing critics of such a move: “To all the liberals who are losing their minds over this — here’s my message: Yes, that’s right, it’s happening. We’re getting started. The days of unaccountable bureaucrats undermining elected leadership are over.”

Habba elaborated further: “If the roles were reversed — if you were in power, Sean, and I was at the DOJ and didn’t share your values — would you keep me there? I highly doubt it. That’s not how leadership works. This is about having people in place who are truly committed to putting America first.”

She concluded with a stinging critique of current federal institutional culture: “These individuals are not America’s first priority — they’ve become symbols of division. They’ve weaponized the justice system, politicized the law, and turned fair justice into selective enforcement. That’s not what the American people voted for, and that’s not what they’re going to get moving forward.”
