Tragedy Strikes As Hot Air Balloon Crash Kills 8 Of 21 On Board

Eight people died in a hot air balloon crash in Praia Grande, Brazil, on June 21. Jorginho Mello, governor of Santa Catarina state, confirmed on social media that 21 people were on board, with 8 fatalities and 13 survivors.

Rescue teams are still searching for passengers and providing support to families. The survivors were taken to local hospitals for medical care.

The Santa Catarina Military Fire Department reported 4 deaths at the scene and ongoing search and treatment efforts. A video shows the balloon on fire before crashing after fully deflating.

This accident follows a recent hot air balloon crash in Turkey, where one person died and 19 were injured due to sudden wind changes.
