“I unexpectedly ran into my billionaire ex at the maternity hospital, only to see him accompanying another woman for her prenatal check-up. But the child we once created is the one growing inside me… What am I supposed to do now?”

Clara, twelve weeks pregnant, is waiting for her appointment at Mount Sinai when her ex, billionaire Julian Blackwood, unexpectedly enters the room with a beautiful, visibly pregnant woman. Believing he has moved on and is expecting a child with someone else, Clara panics and runs outside. The woman, Vanessa, chases her down, furious, and even slaps her before Julian intervenes.

Shaken, Clara hides at home for days, remembering why she left Julian in the first place: his mother had convinced her that her troubled family background would destroy Julian’s public image. When Julian contacts her and begs to meet, he explains that Vanessa is not his partner. She is his late brother Arthur’s widow and is pregnant with Arthur’s child. Grieving and emotionally unstable, Vanessa hates Clara because she witnessed how deeply Julian fell apart after Clara disappeared.

Julian quickly senses Clara is hiding something, and she finally admits she is pregnant with his child. Overwhelmed, he promises to protect her and rebuild what they lost. But that same night, Vanessa confronts Clara on the street with a knife, terrified that Julian is abandoning her. Clara falls while trying to escape, but Julian arrives in time to stop Vanessa. She is taken to psychiatric care, and Clara is unharmed.

Realizing how close he came to losing her again, Julian decides to step back from running his company to focus on their family. Months later, he and Clara live quietly in a farmhouse in Connecticut, raising their newborn son, Leo. Vanessa, now stable, gives birth to her daughter and is cared for by Julian’s mother. With distance from the toxicity of the Blackwood family and the pain of the past, Clara and Julian finally build the peaceful life they always wanted.
