A tragic accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in McIntosh County, Georgia, resulted in a rental vehicle catching fire after a collision, killing a mother and her four young children, authorities confirmed.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. The vehicle, traveling southbound from Raleigh, North Carolina, to Florida, collided with another car and subsequently burst into flames.
The driver was identified as Reagan Mackenzi Dougan, a resident of Raleigh. Her four children—ages 9, 4, 2, and 3 months—were also in the car. The family was reportedly on their way to meet Reagan’s husband in Florida.

Christian Dougan is now mourning the loss of his wife and four children, who all died in the fiery incident.
Authorities reported that a passenger in the second vehicle involved was taken to a nearby hospital. Their condition has not yet been disclosed.
Both Reagan and Christian Dougan are believed to be residents of Raleigh, North Carolina. No further information has been released as the investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
